How to Publish Non-fiction Workshop

Chipping Norton Literary Festival:

We are a Sussex-based publishing house. Even our logos have local interest, the triple Gothic windows of GGP and the rose-window of G-Press Fiction are based on a local church, St Leonard’s in Seaford, which dates back to the 11th century. They reflect Fiona’s love of Sussex, history and architecture.

As the photos show, our office is surrounded by nature, including the office dogs, Chef and Nelle, a present from celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli when Fiona was his Editor. Fiona is also a columnist for The Lady magazine and a regular on BBC local radio.

Wessex Schools Literary Festival

Golden Guides Press took part in the Wessex Schools Literary Festival in July 2012. Fiona Shoop spoke at Noadswood School and running workshops for the students about writing and applying the skills when writing and structuring books to their schoolwork, university and job applications. As well as stressing just how great books are!

‘We welcome the multi-talented Fiona Shoop to our Literary Festival. Fiona has an impressive CV - a Publisher, Writer, Editor of a food magazine, a Columnist for a national newspaper and glossy magazines. She has also appeared on local BBC Radio and TV as a Celebrity Contestant on ‘Ready Steady Cook’. We are delighted she has time to fit us in! Fiona is Editorial Director of her own successful publishing business and her expertise and enthusiasm will be invaluable for our students.’

If you are interested in us or our authors being part of your festival or holding workshops or talks at your event, school or college, please contact us for more details.
